As you can see from our table above, ECO-ARENA can give a huge savings on traditional arena construction.

The highest cost of an arena is usually the sub-base. This is usually made from crushed stone or rubble. Its purpose is to provide a very free draining layer directly below the surfacing.

Instead of the usual expensive stone that is usually utilised, ECO-ARENA uses a large recycled woodchip to provide the same qualities and dramatically reduce the costs.

Of course, wood is a biodegradable material and won’t last forever, but just think how long the wooden hull of the Mary Rose lasted, and she was below salt water as well.

We expect that this chip will last much longer than one might first suppose.

An experimental ECO-ARENA has been down now for well over a year with remarkably little sign of deterioration of the chip. Our expectations are that the chip will outlast the surface material, requiring only a top-up when necessary.

This is a new product which is proving exceptionally popular, but only time will tell exactly how long one will be able to enjoy its benefits.

So, for the sake of ECOLOGY and ECONOMY, use ECO-ARENA.
